## A five-goal contest

Al-Hilal defeated Al-Qadsiah 3-2 on Friday in a Saudi Pro League match that swung twice after halftime. Gabriel Martinelli put Al-Hilal ahead in the 21st minute, but Julián Quiñones equalized for Al-Qadsiah in the 31st. The teams reached halftime level before the hosts moved in front during the second half. [1](https://alhilal.com/en/news) [2](https://www.foxsports.com/soccer)

Rúben Neves restored parity in the 77th minute and Sergej Milinković-Savić made it 3-2 in the 84th, according to the official Al-Hilal account and independent match records. Mateo Retegui answered for Al-Qadsiah in the 87th, but Al-Hilal protected its one-goal margin through the final whistle. ## Why the finish mattered

The closing sequence compressed three goals into 10 minutes. Al-Qadsiah had been positioned for a home result after turning Martinelli’s opener into a lead, only for Al-Hilal’s midfielders to reverse the match. Retegui’s response created another opportunity for the hosts but did not change the final result. [2](https://www.foxsports.com/soccer) [3](https://www.sofascore.com/football)

The victory adds another competitive result for Al-Hilal in the league schedule. The match also illustrated how little separated the teams: Al-Qadsiah answered the first goal and again responded after falling behind, while Al-Hilal’s two-goal burst proved decisive. No developing label is necessary because the official and independent records list the game as complete. The five scorers also reflected the attacking quality on both sides. Martinelli and Quiñones traded first-half goals before the match tightened, while Neves and Milinković-Savić delivered the pivotal Al-Hilal response. Retegui’s 87th-minute goal ensured the contest remained live until the closing whistle. It was a genuinely close contest rather than ending with the visitors comfortably ahead.
