## A family scene shared online

Video of Cardi B helping clean her family’s home in the Dominican Republic has circulated online during a visit that coincided with her 34th birthday. Dominican newspaper Diario Libre reported on October 12 that the footage shows the rapper assisting with household chores at her paternal relatives’ home in Castañuelas, in Montecristi province. Legit.ng’s October 13 report says her father, known as Papabardi on social media, shared the video the previous day. Its account describes Cardi scrubbing the floor while her father directs water with a hose. It also describes furniture being moved away from the water as the family works together. ## A birthday and a bereavement

The trip took place during a difficult moment for the family. Diario Libre reports that Cardi had traveled to the country following the death of her grandfather, whose funeral services were held that weekend. The newspaper says images of her attending the ceremonies with relatives also circulated on social media. HOLA’s October 13 account dates her birthday to October 11 and describes other footage showing relatives gathered around a cake and singing to her. The birthday gathering and the cleaning video are separate scenes from the family visit. The reports do not establish that the chores were filmed on the birthday itself. ## What the coverage shows

Diario Libre describes online reactions emphasizing the artist’s connection with her Dominican family. It also recalls a July 2025 video in which her daughter Kulture helped clean during an earlier visit. That older episode supplies background to the latest images, rather than evidence of a new event involving her daughter. Legit.ng similarly reports praise from viewers who recognized familiar family routines in the cleaning scene. Those reactions are examples from the comments described by the outlet, not a measured account of public opinion. The verified subject of the reports is the circulating family footage and the circumstances of the visit.
