## Friends remember Anika Rashaun

Anika Rashaun, who appeared on MTV’s Real World Seattle: Bad Blood and later competed on The Challenge, has died at age 34. Page Six reports that she died Oct. 1. Her longtime friend Tiara Ramos confirmed the loss in a tribute published Oct. 5, describing a friendship spanning more than two decades. Ramos wrote that Rashaun had been diagnosed with stage-four breast cancer the previous summer. That account establishes the diagnosis but does not give a formal medical cause of death. Rashaun had also publicly discussed her cancer treatment, E! News reported, so her illness is included without presenting a cause as independently certified. ## From Seattle reality TV to matchmaking

Viewers first met Rashaun as a cast member on the 2016 Real World Seattle: Bad Blood season. A Seattle Met account from the time identified Anika among the original roommates. She went on to appear on The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions in 2017. After reality television, Rashaun built a public identity around relationships and matchmaking. Page Six reported that she worked as a professional matchmaker and launched the lifestyle and relationship brand ASKANIKA. Her television appearances were one chapter in a life that also included creative projects and business ambitions. ## Tributes emphasize a full life

Ramos’s remembrance emphasized Rashaun’s initiative and appetite for new experiences. She recalled a friend who moved abroad, pursued business ideas from a young age and showed up fiercely for people she loved. Other former castmates and friends also posted tributes, according to E! News and TVLine. The public record is clearest on the loss itself: a close friend confirmed Rashaun’s death, and multiple entertainment outlets reported that she was 34. Page Six supplied the Oct. 1 date. No family medical statement was identified that would justify more precise claims about the circumstances of her death.
