## Summary
- Paramount+ renewed 'Dutton Ranch' on June 24 after the first season drew 12.9 million global viewers in its first seven days.
- The service still lists Season 2 as in development and its premiere date as TBA.
- Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are set to return, with Benjamin Cavell replacing Chad Feehan as showrunner.
- The series that premiered Oct. 4 on CBS was 'Marshals,' not 'Dutton Ranch.'

## No Season 2 premiere date yet

'Dutton Ranch' will return for a second season, but the new season is not airing yet. Paramount+ lists the drama as in development and says its release date remains to be announced. The service renewed the 'Yellowstone' spinoff on June 24, 2026, following the first season's May 15 debut. Recent searches may reflect confusion with another series in the same television universe. 'Marshals,' the Luke Grimes-led spinoff, began its second season Oct. 4 on CBS, with episodes streaming on Paramount+. Decider reported Oct. 18 that 'Dutton Ranch' had no official Season 2 premiere date and was not the program airing in that Sunday slot. ## What Paramount has confirmed

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are due to return as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. Paramount+ also identifies Finn Little, Ed Harris, Annette Bening, Juan Pablo Raba, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind among the ensemble expected back. All nine episodes of Season 1 remain available on the streaming service. Season 2 will have a new creative lead. Paramount+ names Benjamin Cavell, whose credits include 'SEAL Team,' 'The Institute' and 'The Stand,' as the incoming showrunner. People independently reported on June 30 that Cavell would serve as showrunner and executive producer after first-season creator and showrunner Chad Feehan left the production before its May premiere. ## Renewal followed a record launch

Paramount said 'Dutton Ranch' reached 12.9 million viewers worldwide during its first seven days, which the company described as the largest original-series launch in Paramount+ history. The first season also aired on Paramount Network, where its two-episode debut drew 2.9 million viewers, including 1.85 million for the premiere telecast, according to the company's renewal announcement. A production start is not the same as a release date. Decider, citing a July interview with Reilly, reported that filming was expected to begin in early 2027. Paramount has not announced a 2027 premiere, episode schedule or trailer, so any specific launch date remains speculation. Until the company provides one, viewers looking for the continuation of Beth and Rip's story can watch the completed first season on Paramount+.
