## Summary
- PlayStation Game Size reported a 210GB download listing for GTA VI on PS5 on October 27.
- Rockstar has not announced a download or install size, and the report does not establish Xbox storage needs.
- Rockstar says preloading begins November 12; physical boxes contain a download code rather than a disc.

## What sparked the search

A 210GB figure for Grand Theft Auto VI’s PS5 download circulated on October 27 after the PlayStation Game Size account posted what it described as the game’s download size, alongside a November 12 preload date and November 19 release date. Dexerto and GamesRadar reported the post the same day. The figure is a reported PlayStation listing, not a size announced by Rockstar. The reports describe the figure as applying to the PS5 version. They do not establish that the Xbox Series X|S edition will be identical, or that 210GB is the final amount players will need after installation and any launch updates. Download size and installed storage use can differ. ## What Rockstar has confirmed

Rockstar’s support page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the game’s platforms and says preloading begins at local midnight on November 12. It gives no download or install size. The same page says physical copies will come as a download code in a box, with no disc included, so buyers should expect to download the game regardless of the package they purchase. That distinction matters for planning: the preload date is confirmed, while the 210GB number remains unconfirmed by the publisher. Rockstar’s official platform and edition details are the best place to check for an eventual storage requirement; the currently circulating number should be treated as an early listing report until Rockstar or a storefront publishes it directly. ## How to plan for launch

Players can use November 12 as the confirmed point to begin preloading, but should leave more free space than the reported download figure if possible. A console may need temporary room during downloading, installation or updates, and the final requirement could change before launch. There is not yet a confirmed Xbox figure to use for a platform-specific estimate. Because Rockstar says boxed copies also require a digital download, buying a physical edition will not avoid the storage question or the need for a suitable internet connection. The reported 210GB is roughly one fifth of a terabyte, but that shorthand should not be mistaken for a guaranteed space requirement. Storefront numbers can represent a particular build or download package; later patches may change what is installed. Rockstar has published neither a final console storage requirement nor a PC specification in the support details cited here, so estimates about other platforms remain speculation. For now, the useful answer to “How big is GTA 6?” is qualified: one tracking account’s PS5 report says 210GB, while Rockstar has confirmed the preload timing and download-code packaging without confirming storage needs. Check the PlayStation or Xbox store listing closer to preload rather than relying on a repost or a speculative estimate.
