NCCU and Delaware State open MEAC play as live score feeds conflict

Confirmed game, conflicting trackers

North Carolina Central and Delaware State are meeting in an NCAA Division I FCS game at Alumni Stadium in Dover, Delaware. NCCU’s official schedule lists the matchup, while the MEAC’s television announcement says the game is being shown on ESPN2. ^{[1] [4]}

The current scoreboard picture was inconsistent at publication. Sofascore showed North Carolina Central ahead 10-0 with 9:30 left in the third quarter, while ESPN surfaced a Delaware State rushing touchdown and a 0-6 score snapshot. Those feeds did not align, so this report withholds a current score. ^{[2] [3]}

Conference opener for both teams

The contest opens MEAC play for both programs. NCCU’s schedule shows the Eagles entering after a 17-14 loss to William & Mary, while Delaware State’s schedule lists its earlier home win over Franklin Pierce and the conference date with the Eagles. ^{[1] [5]}

NCCU’s official series history records Delaware State’s 35-26 win in the previous meeting. That result gives context to the rematch, but it does not establish what is happening in Friday’s game. ^[6]

A final update should use an official box score and an independent account once they agree. Until then, the score, leading performers and decisive plays remain unresolved rather than inferred from a stale or conflicting tracker. ^{[1] [2] [3] [5]}

The reporting distinction is important in a live game: a tracker can lag, display an earlier drive, or attach a scoring play to an inconsistent total. The confirmed facts are the teams, venue, broadcast and conference stakes. The unresolved facts are the live score and game leaders, which require a matching official record after play. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}
