What went on sale

Bratz, the fashion doll brand owned by MGA Entertainment, has released a collector line based on The Craft, the 1996 teen horror film directed by Andrew Fleming. The collection covers all four witches from the movie: Nancy, Sarah, Rochelle and Bonnie. [3] [6]

Dread Central and iHorror both reported that the dolls would go on sale Oct. 15 at 8 a.m. PT, or 11 a.m. ET, through Bratz.com. The two product pages were already live on the official Bratz site ahead of the launch. [3] [4] [1] [2]

Prices and how they are sold

Bratz.com lists the Nancy collector doll at $70 and the three-pack of Sarah, Rochelle and Bonnie at $120. Buying both comes to $190 before tax and shipping, as Dread Central noted. [1] [2] [3]

The official product pages say buyers who order on Bratz.com receive an exclusive folded poster with each set. iHorror reported that both sets are limited to three per customer. None of the coverage named any retailer other than Bratz.com. [1] [2] [4]

The Nancy doll

Nancy, played in the film by Fairuza Balk, is the only character sold separately. According to Bratz.com, she comes with two looks: a take on the St. Benedict's school uniform with a plaid mini skirt, tied white button-up and black faux leather jacket, and an all-black outfit with a long dress, floor-length coat and lace-up heeled boots. [1] [3]

Her accessories reference the film's beach ritual scene, including a red candle, a removable snake in a jar, a spellbook and a golden-hilted dagger. The doll also comes with red-lens sunglasses, cross jewelry, a spiked choker, a mannequin and a doll stand, according to the product listing. [1] [4]

The coven three-pack

The three-pack dresses Sarah, Rochelle and Bonnie in versions of their St. Benedict's uniforms. Bratz.com lists a navy cardigan for Sarah, a collared shirt and tie for Rochelle, and an oversized navy coat for Bonnie, each paired with a plaid mini skirt and knee-high socks. [2]

Each doll gets a red candle and an item tied to the beach ritual: a caged parakeet for Sarah, a bagged clownfish for Rochelle and a jarred butterfly for Bonnie. The set includes three doll stands, and The Pop Insider described the packaging as retro VHS-style. [2] [5] [4]

Part of a busy anniversary year

The Craft dolls follow other Bratz collaborations tied to the brand's 25th anniversary. In June, MGA announced collector dolls of Cloe and Sasha designed with fashion house Rodarte, which launched on Bratz.com on July 6, according to a company press release. [6]
