Lay's Unveils Five Holiday Chip Flavors, Including Roasted Turkey and Scalloped Potatoes

What Lay's announced

Lay's has announced a five-flavor holiday lineup called Holi-LAY'S, with the savory flavors modeled on dishes from a holiday dinner and two chocolate options aimed at dessert. The release, issued from Plano, Texas, on Oct. 19, 2026, describes all five as limited-time products. ^[1]

Lay's is made by Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo. Denise Truelove, senior vice president of marketing for PepsiCo Foods, said the company is bringing fans flavors inspired by courses on the holiday table. ^[1]

Flavors and dates

Cheddar Scalloped-Style Potatoes and Roasted Holiday Turkey go on sale nationwide Oct. 25, according to the release. The company describes the turkey flavor as tasting like roasted turkey and gravy, and the first as a creamy, cheesy chip inspired by scalloped potatoes. ^[1]

Maple Bacon, a sweet and smoky flavor, reaches U.S. shelves for the first time on Nov. 8. Food Network reported that the flavor is already sold in Canada. ^{[1] [2]}

Wavy Milk Chocolate and Wavy Dubai-Style Dark Chocolate arrive Dec. 1 at select retailers, with wider availability in 2027. The milk chocolate version is a ridged chip covered in chocolate, while the Dubai-style version pairs dark chocolate with pistachios. ^[1]

Early tasting reports

Food Network, which tried only the two savory dinner flavors, said the turkey chip smells of poultry seasoning, with thyme and sage notes and a meaty, crisp-skin character. It described the scalloped potato chip as more savory than a standard sour cream and cheddar chip, with Parmesan, herbs and black pepper. ^[2]

Food Network's Oct. 19 piece said the two dinner flavors were in stores now, while the company release lists Oct. 25 as the nationwide date. Shoppers may see early stock at some stores, but the release date from the company is Oct. 25. ^{[1] [2]}

Sweepstakes and survey

A Happy Holi-Lay's Sweepstakes starts Oct. 26. Entries come through a code on qualifying bags or at HappyHoli-Lays.com. Listed prizes include a Lay's x Le Creuset oval casserole, a multicooker, a charcuterie set, a branded sweater, a tile game set and glass and wood chip bowls. ^[1]

The release also cites a PepsiCo-commissioned survey of 1,000 Americans, fielded Aug. 12 to 26, 2026, with a margin of error of 3 percentage points. It found 78% of respondents consider food a great holiday gift and 55% prefer it to other gift types. ^[1]

What is not yet known

The release does not give prices, bag sizes or a list of retailers for the December chocolate flavors beyond saying select stores. Why searches for Lay's rose on Oct. 20 has not been established by the sources reviewed, though the announcement came the previous day. All five flavors are limited-time, and the company has not said when supplies will end. ^[1]
